grew up with this band and had heard Styx was getting back together but would be minus Tommy Shaw for this one...Glen Burtnik replaced him and did an excellent job on this album. my all-time favorite songs on this album is Love Is The Ritual, Show Me The Way, Edge Of The Century and Homewrecker really shows how a band plays together uniformly with not one instrument overpowering another...Dennis DeYoung produced it and he showed He can still produce. He did an excellent job showcasing this band keeping this band's sound alive but updating it...and Glen Burtnik was an excellent choice to replace Tommy during this album and tour

Unlike many of my peers, I never got into Styx in the seventies. I had heard Mr. Roboto on the radio but didn't know anything about them. So I bought this album and it reminded me of Journey and REO Speedwagon, both of which I liked. Later I found out that this was Dennis DeYoung's attempt to revive the band which had split up several years earlier. (Behind the Music) Despite that fact, I still like it. I liked Love is the Ritual, Show Me the Way, Edge of the Century, and Not Dead Yet. World Tonite and Carrie Ann were pretty good, too. If you are a big fan of their 70's work, you may not like this album. But if you like REO Speedwagon and Journey, you will love this album.
Great Album
